Description:
This private Motor Valley tour will take you inside factories and museums, to discover the world of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Ducati, Pagani in what is now known as the Italian Motor Valley.
The tour will start with a private driver pick-up at your hotel in Bologna (we can arrange this tour also from Florence, Venice, Milan and other locations, please contact us for details). Our itinerary will begin with the visit to the Ducati factory and museum: the story of the Ducati dream began in Bologna in 1926 when Antonio Cavalieri Ducati and his three sons, founded a small but successful factory that during time achieved the world champion title and became a symbol of excellence and speed on two wheels.
The journey continues in the small town of Sant’ Agata Bolognese, near Bologna, where Ferruccio Lamborghini in 1963 founded the factory Automobili Ferruccio Lamborghini. He wanted to produce a grand touring car to compete with Enzo Ferrari’s sport-cars. The company"s first models were released in the mid-1960s and were noted for their refinement, power and comfort. You will have the chance to visit the Lamborghini museum with the most successful models and go inside the Lamborghini factory to see the actual production line.
Then there will be time for a lunch stop in a typical restaurant to enjoy the delicious food of this region (price not included).
After lunch you will reach Maranello, near Modena where you will visit the Ferrari Museum. Here you will learn about the history of the most successful racing team in the history of Formula 1, originally founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1928 and that later become the most revered icon in the world of sport-cars. At the end of the day your private driver will take you back to your hotel or train station in Bologna (a different drop-off may be scheduled, email us for details).
If you prefer focusing on sport cars, it is possible to include in the tour the Pagani factory and museum instead of Ducati. The visit will allow you inside the factory where these impressive luxurious custom models are made. Founded in 1991 by Horacio Pagani, it is currently world known for the production of Huayra and Zonda that rank among the fastest and more expensive cars on the market. You will have a chance to visit the production facility and the museum displaying the history and models of the maker. If you wish to see Pagani please make the selection from the options menu.
This is a private tour so you will not be part of a group, you will have private transportation, the driver and guide will be entirely dedicated to you. Please note that the visits inside factories will be done in small groups managed by the factory owner. All visits inside factories are subject to availability (in case a factory cannot be seen inside a partial or full refund will be given). The price of the tour includes all entrance fees to factories and museums.
SUPER CAR TEST DRIVE - If you wish it is possible to book a supercar driving experience. You will drive for 20 kilometers (about 20 minutes) on normal roads while in the passenger seat there will be a pilot from the staff who will give you some useful driving tips. You can choose among several models like: Ferrari Portofino, Ferrari F488, Lamborghini Huracan and more. You can also choose to add a DVD or USB with the video recording of your performance so you can share with your friends your driving skills! The test-drive and the video are additional options that you may choose from the menu in the upper right box of this page (if you wish to book a test drive for more than one person please contact us). Minimum age requirement for the test drive is 21 year old.
FERRARI FACTORY TOUR - If you are the owner of a Ferrari and would like to visit the factory inside we will be happy to assist you, please email us for information. If you are not the owner of a Ferrari, the visit of the Ferrari factory for the general public can be done only from the outside. This tour from the outside for the general public is managed by the manufacturer. It has a duration of about 40 minutes and is done onboard a minibus. You cannot step-off the minibus and you are not allowed to take photos or videos. You will see the buildings where Ferraris are made (from the outside) and the testing track. If you wish you may add this tour from the options menu.
SATURDAY, SUNDAY SCHEDULE - Please note that factories are closed on Saturday, Sunday and national holidays. If you book a tour during these days you will be able to see the museums of Ferrari, Lamborghini and Ducati but not the factories. Because of this, you will receive a refund of 80 Euro per person. The refund will be credited within 48 hours on the same credit card that you used to make the booking. No change regarding test drives, they are available during weekends.
Please note that on Wednesdays the Ducati Factory and Museum are closed to public. In case you book the tour on this day of the week you will visit the Pagani factory and museum or will have a price reduction. During the month of August and the Christmas holidays the Lamborghini factory, Ducati and Pagani are closed so they will not be included in the tour. During August and Christmas holidays the tour will have a special price and schedule. Please contact us for more information.
