With this boat tour from Portofino you will explore the beautiful coast of Liguria on a private boat with skipper.
Meet your skipper and board your private boat in Portofino or Santa Margherita and set off through the Protected Marine Area along the gorgeous peninsula of Portofino (if you need a pick-up at your hotel, please contact us).
From your unique vantage point afloat the Gulf of Tigullio, you can see the church of St. George, the patron saint of Portofino and approach the “Cala dell’Oro” (Golden Cove), a natural aquarium where protected species of coral and fish live undisturbed. Arrive at Punta Chiappa and enjoy a moment for swimming or snorkeling.
Next you will visit the charming village of Camogli, where you can shop for local handcrafted souvenirs and taste the delicious focaccia.
Then you will head south and moor in the bay by the lovely San Fruttuoso Abbey, before transferring to a typical fishing boat or “gozzo” in order to arrive at the shore and explore this secluded site.
Not far from the San Fruttuoso coast, submerged 17 meters underwater, stands the famous statue of Christ of the Abyss. Here you may choose to jump back into the crystal clear waters for a swim above this sunken treasure.
At the end of this half-day tour, your skipper will take you back to Portofino (or Santa Margherita).
If you wish, you may extend the duration of this tour (about 3 and half hours) and make it a full-day tour (about 7 hours). With the full day tour you will have time to stop for lunch in one of these lovely coastal towns. Taste the flavors of Liguria in any of a number of restaurants serving up fresh seafood and other local dishes (please note that lunch is not included in the cost of the tour). Also included in the full-day tour is an additional stop or two in the coastal town of Santa Margherita Ligure and/or Rapallo, depending on your preference, plus more time for swimming and exploring.

This tour is subject to weather conditions. If the sea/weather conditions are considered unsafe for navigation we will cancel the tour. In this case you will have the option for rescheduling or having a full refund.
