Villa Margherita Ricordi

Villa Maria Taglioni
Famous since 1769, when the Austrian Emperor Joseph II took refuge here during a sudden storm on the lake, this villa was later owned by the famous Swedish ballet dancer Marie Taglioni. Together with its twin, Villa Serena, it features 7 exquisite bedrooms in a peaceful yet convenient location. Here one can enjoy all the local amenities with a scenic water taxi ride. Villa Melzi d’Eril
Villa Melzi is in Bellagio, known to many as the Pearl of Lake Como, a rare harmony and beauty place and a popular stop for most tourists. It was once the summer residence of Francesco Melzi d’Eril, vice president of Napoleon’s Italian Republic. While the villa itself is private, a museum housed in the greenhouse features relics, paintings and more! But it’s the neoclassical style gardens that attract thousands each year. Open to the public, these gardens stretch for almost a kilometer along the lake's shore and offer a wide variety of plants, including a dense cultivation of camellias: more than 250, belonging to splendid and rare Italian varieties, some of which are species dating back to the 19th century.

Dating back to the 12th century, this property gets its name from its origin as a monastery. Today it hosts a museum, botanical garden and an internationally renowned conference center. The home’s museum consists of 14 fully-furnished rooms, preserved in their original glory. It's visited by more than 100,000 people each year. Meanwhile, the villa's lakefront botanical gardens boast more than 900 plant species! Villa Mylius Vigoni
Splendid 19th-century villa located in Loveno, near Menaggio. The large park surrounding the villa includes amazing maritime pines, maples, cypresses, and cedars of Lebanon, that create an atmosphere of peace and recollection. The German patron Enrico Mylius purchased the villa and the park in 1829 and made it a meeting place for Italian and German artists and writers. It was then donated in 1983 by Ignazio Vigoni to the Federal Republic of Germany. Hence its vocation today as an Italian-German center for the promotion of European dialogue, continuously hosting meetings and events.
