Trani, Castel del Monte, art and wine tour

The tour will begin with a private driver pick-up at your hotel in Bari or surroundings (for other pick-up point please contact us).

Riding in a comfortable sedan or minivan and accompanied by your private guide, you will visit two of the most beautiful sites of the area. The first stop will be at the sea town of Trani, sitting of the sliver peninsula north of Bari: here you will visit the beautiful white-washed marble Romanic cathedral facing the romantic lungomare, where the colors of the background shift according to the time of day and year, and the 13th century Norman Castle. In the past centuries Trani housed one of the largest Jewish communities of Italy and on request is possible to visit also the Scolanova synagogue.

After Trani we will leave the coast and go through a spectacular countryside until we reach one of the most renowned wineries of the region. Here you will have a visit of the estate, with its olive groves, vineyards, wine cellars, and finally will have a wine and oil tasting. It is also possible to stay for lunch at the estate and enjoy some authentic food of the region like orecchiette, burrata and much more. After lunch your private tour will continue with a visit to Castel del Monte, a masterfully preserved Norman Castle, a Unesco site that in itself would be worth a visit to Apulia.
